What a great time at Morgan Sports Center Sunday afternoon.

The “Week of Blessings” kicked off Sunday with a huge picnic at Morgan’s. There were about 3,000 people in attendance and some stood in line more than hour to get a taste of the barbecue.

But never once did I hear anyone complain.

It was neat to see all the churches in the area, decked out in their T-shirts.

The tug-of-war between the various officials around town and the churches was great fun.

What great way to spend a Sunday afternoon - lots of fun, food and fellowship.

I hope this was just the first of many “city-wide” picnics to come.
