Lady Seahawks making strides at South Walton

What an accomplishment.

The South Walton Lady Seahawk softball team is 23-1 with a victory in the first round of the state playoffs — a first for any team sport at the six-year-old high school.

Sure there have been state winners in wrestling and track. But this is a team — a dozen individuals pulling together as one.

Way to go.

If you’d like a chance to see the Lady Seahawks in action. They play Friday at 7 p.m. at home against the Chipley Tigers in the semifinals of the Class 3A regional tournament.

Chipley is the only team that has beaten the Seahawks this season — and I’m hoping that the home team gets sweet revenge.

See you there.
