The cold weather wasn’t here yet.
On the last day of 2007 - Monday - several of Destin’s charter boats ventured out on what some said “was the prettiest day of the year” for a day of fishing.
The Destin Princess came in with several stringers of white snapper, mingo and triggerfish. I even saw a few scamp in the mix.
The amberjack bite is also good right now. The Huntress, Melanie Dawn and Anastasia 3 all hauled in big catches of amberjack.
I also heard that the sheepshead are in close and biting good.
